Step 1 Remove the Old Frame

  • To replace the frame of your Magnador Pet Door, the entire assembly must be taken from its installation location.
  • Remove the flap from the existing frame.
  • Use side cutters to cut away the top portion of the side that needs replacing.
  • Slide the flap out to one side and remove the hinge pins by tapping with a hammer. Make sure to not bend the pins.

Step 2 Insert the New Frame

  • Lay the flap into the new frame, lining up the hinge pin holes on the flap with the frame.
  • Tap the hinge pins back in gently with a hammer.
  • Using the same hardware and hinge pins, remount the pet door with your new frame. Screw the frame into the existing holes from the previous frame.

What frame color will best match my stainless steel door?

The frame only comes in white and dark bronze, but you can paint the trim kit any color you want.
